Mentawais Tax: All Surfing Tourists visiting the Mentawai Islands must pay a surfing tourism tax prior to visiting, equivalent to Rp.1.000.000 (approx. AUD100) per maximum 15 days stay, which is extendable. You can make payment individually to the Mentawai Tourism Office in Padang on arrival. An official ticket stating validity, name of surfing guest, along with water proof wrist band will be supplied to each surfing guest upon making payment, along with official receipt of payment from the Mentawai Government Tourism Office.
Inclusions: Airport Transfers, Return Ferry terminal transfers, Return High Speed Ferry Padang/Tuapajet, A/C Accommodations at John’s Place, All Meals at John’s Place, 2 Large Bintangs a day per adult, Drinking Water, Coconuts, In Season Fruit, All local surf transfers, 1 trip to the Playgrounds area, Expert english speaking surf guide, personal chef, Wifi* and assistance staff.
Use of 2 x Stand Up paddle boards, snorkelling equipment and basic fishing gear.
Further trips are available to HT’s area and Playgrounds area on request. Surcharge will be charged for fuel usage only.
Not Included: International or Domestic Airfares, Travel Insurance, Mentawai Surf Tax, Pre and Post hotel in Padang (we do include the transfers and ferry).
